Hi, everyone and welcome to my blog! My name is Lilia Iotzova and I’m a graduate from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg. My major is Mass Communications, focusing on News Editorial.
The years I’ve spent at USF, were some of the greatest! Not only did I learn how to be a journalist, how “to do” ethics, as one of my professors used to say, but also I’ve developed my personality to a level that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to achieve. For that, I’m thankful to have been a part of this community.
To give you some more background on how I decided to become a journalist, well…it wasn’t an easy choice to make. In the first few years of school, I looked up to my sister as a role model. She was majoring in finance, so I decided to go for business as well. After going through all the math classes, such as Calculus, Statistics, Economics, and finally Accounting, I found the real ME! Sitting in Managerial Accounting class, trying to focus on the professor’s lecture, it finally came to my mind that my passion is writing. I wanted to explore all the subjects that I was interested in, and be able to give that information to people around the world.
Today, I feel that I know what it means to be a journalist. By choosing this profession, I know what my duties are to the public and I’ve promised myself to serve them by all means!
In this blog, I’ll keep anyone who might be interested in what I do, up to date. You’ll find my new stories here. I’ll be blogging constantly on any adventures that I have experienced through my career search and during my upcoming trip to Europe! So welcome again, and enjoy!
